Why so serious Phil Hellmuth?

Yesterday, while we were playing with our beer-drenched cards, someone started a rant about how some peoples take themselves way to serious and how that seems to apply more to pokerplayers then average folks. We thought the prime example of that is Phil Hellmuth. Everyone has seen some of his behaviour on television and I don’t need to explain it any further. However, take a look at the following clip! Phil is asked to give his opinion about an other pokerplayer, and as if that isn’t hard enough for Phil, that pokerplayer is his nemesis Tom Dwan.

This is pure gold. Hellmuth realizes he’s expected to make a compliment, so he attempts to do so… but he gradually turns it into criticism while at the same time complimenting himself. Well played sir! Plus Tom’s face is priceless.

The bar loves you Phil.
